4. Lempuyang

“The Gates of Heaven” is just another very unique and popular place to visit in Bali. Lempuyang is yet another one of the oldest Balinese temples located on the slope of Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem.

This temple has recently become one of the top tourist destinations. When visiting this place, you should follow a strict dress code that includes a sarong and a shawl. The temple consists of seven different sanctuaries with impressive architecture. What you won’t be prepared for is the breathtaking views from this temple.

Make sure you go on a guided tour of Lempuyang so that you can understand all the historical facts about this incredible temple. Another thing you should keep in mind is that the trip to the temple and back will take around three hours and a whole lot of stairs!

5. Tukad Cepung waterfall

Nature in Bali is also something worthwhile experiencing. Bali is the home of numerous waterfalls and you should make time to visit at least some of them. Tukad Cepung holds the title of one of the best waterfalls in Bali.

This waterfall can be found in the Tembuku region of the Bangli regency, and you’ll need to prepare yourself for a 15-minute hike and trek to reach this amazing place.

Unlike most waterfalls, this one flows down the cliff and ends up in a cave which is precisely what makes it so unique and special.

Another very cool thing about this waterfall is the fact that rays of sunlight shine through the falls and create beautiful beams inside the cave. If you want to experience this, you’ll need to visit it between 9.30 and 11.30 in the morning.
