Review inventory and condition records
Check the furniture inventory and entry report before moving or cleaning items. Note existing marks, wear, damage and access restrictions, and notify the property manager where necessary. Do not move heavy or fragile furniture without permission and safe assistance.
Clean accessible furniture and soft furnishings
Vacuum upholstery with a suitable attachment and follow care labels for cushions, mattresses and curtains. Avoid steam, moisture and stain products unless the manufacturer permits them. Persistent stains, odours, mould-like growth or damaged fabric may need specialist assessment.
Include appliances and overlooked spaces
Confirm which appliance interiors, cupboards, blinds, reachable window tracks and areas behind movable items are included. Do not dismantle fittings or move appliances connected to gas, water or power without qualified help.
Use compatible products and confirm scope
Use products appropriate to each surface and follow labels. Ask the provider to list tasks, exclusions, timing, access, price basis and any re-clean terms in writing. Bond decisions are separate from the cleaning service.
