Review the franchise and financial commitments
Understand initial and ongoing fees, territory, supplier requirements, marketing contributions, renewal, transfer, termination, dispute processes and any performance targets. Check current Australian Franchise Code and disclosure requirements using official guidance and independent legal or accounting advice.
Plan services and operating capacity
Define the cleaning services, premises, equipment, travel, schedules, staffing and training the business can reliably support. Estimate overheads and cash flow using documented assumptions, and plan for cancellations, late payments, equipment replacement and unbillable time.
Manage people and safe work
Set clear hiring, induction, supervision, scheduling, chemical handling, PPE, incident reporting and site-access processes. Check employment obligations, applicable awards and state or territory work health and safety requirements with current authoritative sources.
Maintain client and service records
Document site scope, exclusions, access, changes, inspections, complaints, incidents and invoices. Review service performance with clients and update plans when needs change. Avoid promising a particular growth, retention, review or profitability outcome.
