What Does End-of-Lease Cleaning Mean?

A provider quote should translate the broad phrase into rooms, surfaces and tasks. Check which areas are included, what is optional, whether appliances or carpets are separate, and what access or property conditions affect the work. Do not assume two providers use the same definition.

Note the home type, rooms, furnished or empty condition, requested cleaning areas and any known access limits. Separate cleaning from repairs, rubbish removal, pest treatment, mould remediation and maintenance; these are not automatically part of a cleaning booking.

Cleaning scope and rental obligations are different questions. Refer to the agreement, condition report and current state or territory tenancy guidance for obligations that apply to your situation. A cleaning article or quote cannot interpret your contract or determine a bond claim.

Before booking, compare the quoted tasks, exclusions, price basis, timing and process for changing the scope. Keep the confirmation and raise questions about specialist areas before the appointment rather than relying on the label “bond clean”.
