A Room-by-Room Spring Cleaning Checklist

List rooms, priority surfaces, condition, access and time available. Remove loose items only where safe, secure valuables and arrange recycling or disposal separately. Decide whether you need routine cleaning, a deep clean or specialist work such as carpets or appliance interiors.

Clean accessible benches, sinks, appliance exteriors, taps, mirrors, shower or bath surfaces and floors using products compatible with the materials. Check appliance manuals before cleaning interiors. Never mix products or use acids on stone unless its care instructions permit them.

Dust reachable surfaces, clean accessible skirting and doors, vacuum suitable floors and mop according to floor-care guidance. Curtains, blinds, high-level areas, upholstery, carpet extraction and moving heavy furniture require separate scope and access planning.

Check the room list, dry floors, return movable items only as agreed and report existing damage or maintenance concerns. Window cleaning, oven cleaning, balconies and outdoor pressure work are separate tasks. A written quote should define the included work.
