Use the cleaner's drying instructions
Extraction, low-moisture and other methods leave different amounts of moisture. Ask the provider how to manage airflow, furniture and foot traffic for the exact service and carpet.
Ventilate only when conditions suit
Open windows only if weather and building security allow. Rain, outdoor humidity, smoke, pollen, pollution, cold or strong heat may make open-window ventilation unsuitable.
Use fans or heating cautiously
Follow the cleaner and appliance manuals before using fans, heating or air conditioning. Do not direct excessive heat at carpet, obstruct safety devices or create an electrical hazard around damp surfaces.
Keep people and pets off damp carpet
Restrict access as the service provider recommends and wait until the carpet is dry before replacing furniture or rugs. Contact the cleaner if dampness persists, odour develops or a stain returns as the carpet dries.
