Check visible residue and care instructions
Look for food spills, grease, damaged surfaces and unusual odours while the oven is cool. Consult the model manual before choosing a cleaner or self-clean cycle. Do not use a generic recipe, foil liner or product on a surface that the manufacturer excludes.
Inspect accessible components
Check that racks are correctly positioned and the door appears to close normally, without dismantling the seal or panels. Do not touch heating elements or electrical components. A damaged door, loose element, error message or suspected fault needs qualified service.
Use the appliance as directed
