Describe the workplace
Provide floor area, room count, washrooms, kitchen facilities, floor types, occupancy, operating hours and current condition. Identify restricted spaces, security requirements, parking, building access, waste arrangements and any high-touch or presentation priorities.
Set frequency and task scope
List dusting, vacuuming, mopping, washrooms, kitchen areas, bins, glass and consumable restocking, with the required frequency. Specialist carpet extraction, high windows, floor restoration, pest control and hazardous waste may be separate services.
Check what the quote includes
Ask about labour, equipment, products, consumables, site supervision, out-of-hours work, set-up, exclusions, cancellation and how scope changes are priced. Do not assume hourly, per-visit or area-based pricing includes the same work across providers.
Compare like-for-like proposals
Give each provider the same floor plans, task list, schedule and access assumptions. Confirm the quote in writing and ask how service issues, missed tasks and site changes are handled. Current local quotes are more useful than undated national rate ranges.
