Review written tenancy information
Check the lease, incoming condition report and agent instructions Queensland RTA. List required rooms, keys, access time, vacant or furnished status and specific carpet, oven, window or balcony tasks. Ask for clarification if requirements are unclear.
Plan coastal surfaces and outdoor tasks
If present, note salt or sand on accessible glass, fixtures or entry surfaces. Include outdoor areas only when the tenancy instructions and quote cover them. Repairs, gardening, rubbish removal, pest treatment and mould remediation are separate.
Confirm the end-of-lease scope
Ask the provider to list rooms, tasks, exclusions, price basis, access and any re-clean policy in writing. A re-clean policy is not a bond-back guarantee; inspection and bond outcomes are decided through the tenancy process.
Prepare for the visit
Remove personal items, arrange keys and parking, ensure utilities and access are available and document existing damage. Request appliances, carpets or pressure cleaning as separate items when needed.
