Compare written quotes fairly
Check the price basis, visit frequency, task list, exclusions, supplies, travel or access charges and cancellation or rescheduling terms. Confirm whether the quote is fixed or depends on a site assessment. A low headline price is not comparable if the scope differs.
Check access, insurance and service process
Ask how keys or codes are handled, who may enter, whether the provider carries relevant insurance and how cleaners are assigned or supervised. Request written service terms and ask how a missed task or concern is reported. Do not assume background checks, a particular cleaner or an outcome unless confirmed by the provider.
Prepare the home and booking
Before the visit, secure valuables and confidential items, identify delicate finishes, arrange pets and provide safe access. Confirm the agreed checklist and timing in writing. Keep the provider's contact details and note any product sensitivities or rooms that must remain closed.
