Choose priority rooms and tasks
List the rooms to be cleaned and note the tasks that make the biggest difference to your household: for example, bathroom surfaces, kitchen benches, dusting, vacuuming or suitable floor mopping. Identify rooms that can be skipped and surfaces needing particular care. Do not assume inside ovens, cupboards, windows or carpet extraction are included unless confirmed.
Decide on a visit pattern
A one-off reset and recurring maintenance visit have different priorities. Consider household routines, occupancy, pets, flooring and how quickly high-use areas become soiled. Start with a realistic task list and ask the provider what can fit the proposed visit; frequency and duration should follow the agreed scope, not a guaranteed result.

Compare quotes by written scope
Give providers the same details and compare the listed tasks, exclusions, optional extras, price basis and process for approving additional work. Ask about current availability and cancellation terms directly. Cleaning does not include repairs, pest treatment or specialist restoration unless a separate suitable service is agreed.
