Terms such as biodegradable, non-toxic, natural and environmentally friendly can refer to different properties. Look for specific substantiation, credible certification and packaging or disposal details rather than relying on a general marketing phrase.
Avoid untested homemade mixtures
Do not mix vinegar, lemon, baking soda, bleach, ammonia, peroxide or detergents as an improvised cleaner. Mixtures may damage surfaces, leave residue or cause harmful reactions. Use one labelled product at a time.
Store and dispose of products responsibly
