Inspect and document the property
Before cleaning or unpacking, record existing marks, damage, leaks, pests, odours and maintenance concerns. Compare the condition with your entry report where applicable, and notify the property manager about issues that need repair or specialist assessment.
Plan a room-by-room clean
List kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, floors, cupboards, reachable windows and other priority areas. Confirm whether appliance interiors, carpets, blinds, balconies and garages are included. Pest treatment, mould remediation, repairs and hazardous materials require separate assessment.
Use safe, compatible products
Follow manufacturer care instructions for flooring, stone, cabinetry, glass and appliances. Keep cleaning chemicals labelled and secured, never mix products and ventilate when safe. Cleaning cannot certify a property as allergen-free or resolve an underlying leak or air-quality issue.
Schedule cleaning and moving access
Where possible, arrange cleaning before furniture arrives and coordinate keys, lift bookings, parking, utilities and other trades. Share the property size, condition, timing and requested tasks when seeking a quote. Confirm inclusions and exclusions in writing.
