Describe the concern without attempting treatment
From a safe position, record where and when activity appears, what you observed, the property type and any previous products used. Do not touch, trap, move or disturb an unknown animal, nest or droppings.
For wildlife or an injured animal, contact the appropriate local council or wildlife authority rather than assuming a household pest provider can handle it.
Choose a provider for the exact pest and work
Ask who will attend, whether inspection is included, what pest and areas are within scope, which qualifications or authorisations apply to the proposed work, and how those claims can be verified with the local regulator. Confirm accepted species, property access, price, date, exclusions and follow-up terms in writing.
Get product and occupant instructions before treatment
If a product is proposed, request its name and current label and the provider’s written preparation, food-area, occupant, pet, ventilation, re-entry and follow-up instructions. There is no universal product or return-to-room period. NSW residents can consult the NSW EPA pesticide information; other states and territories have their own regulators.
Keep cleaning separate from pest management
Routine cleaning does not identify a species, inspect concealed spaces or treat an infestation. Do not schedule a cleaning visit as a substitute for pest assessment; after any treatment, follow the exact provider and product instructions before arranging separate cleaning.
Confirm Dirt2Tidy’s subcontracted arrangement
Dirt2Tidy coordinates enquiries through subcontracted pest providers. The individual provider, applicable credentials, accepted treatment, address/date availability, price and terms must be confirmed for the exact request. Dirt2Tidy does not claim direct pesticide application, and no pest-free or treatment outcome is guaranteed.
