Check access and permission first
Confirm which rooms and furniture are included, and whether the property is occupied. Do not move heavy furniture, fixed appliances, electronics or fragile belongings without authorization and suitable help.
Focus on safe, reachable areas
Dust accessible ledges, clean visible surfaces and vacuum reachable floor edges with a suitable attachment. Follow care instructions for upholstery, rugs, timber, stone and electronics; keep liquids away from power cords and sensors.
Separate cleaning from repairs and removal
Wall damage, pest treatment, appliance faults, rubbish removal, furniture moving and high-level work are separate tasks unless expressly agreed. Ask the property manager how to handle an inaccessible or damaged area.
Compare the work with written instructions
For a rental handover, follow the current property checklist and condition records. If requesting professional cleaning, confirm included rooms, optional tasks, exclusions, access and price in writing. Cleaning cannot guarantee a bond or inspection result.
