List the items and surfaces involved
Separate plants and growing media from pots, trays, shelves, floors, lights, fans and electrical equipment. Identify each material and maker where possible. Do not assume a household cleaner is appropriate for a plant, growing medium, food-producing plant or coated equipment.
Keep plant-health and pest questions with a horticultural adviser
If leaves are discoloured, insects are present or a plant is failing, identify the plant and ask a qualified horticultural source or relevant agricultural authority. Do not assume a household pest product, oil, disinfectant or concentration is safe or effective for a plant.
Use equipment instructions for powered components
Follow the exact manufacturer guidance for lights, fans, pumps and irrigation equipment. Do not spray liquid onto electrical parts, open housings or attempt repairs as part of cleaning. Stop and contact a qualified electrician or equipment technician if a fault, damaged cable or water exposure is present.
Clean surrounding household surfaces within their care limits
For nearby shelves or floors, identify the surface and use only a product label and maker instruction that permit the intended task. Keep cleaning products away from plants, soil, pets and food unless the exact label allows that use. Do not combine cleaners.
Agree an ordinary cleaning scope clearly
A house-cleaning service may quote for specified accessible room surfaces, but does not automatically include plant care, horticultural pest management, grow-system maintenance or electrical work. List included areas and exclusions before booking.
