Decide which property and stage need cleaning
Identify whether you are asking about a current home, a vacated rental or a new property. A move-out clean, routine home clean and pre-occupancy request can involve different rooms and tasks. Describe the property's condition and the date the space will be accessible.
Coordinate the clean with belongings and access
Tell the provider whether furniture or boxes will remain, which areas will be clear, and how entry will be arranged. If access depends on movers, keys or a property manager, confirm those arrangements directly before setting the cleaning appointment.
Write down requested tasks and optional work
List rooms and surfaces, then separately note any requested appliances, windows, carpets or upholstery. Ask which tasks are included, excluded or require separate confirmation. Cleaning does not include packing, moving belongings, disposal, repairs or an inspection unless separately agreed with the responsible provider.
Keep handover and sale requirements separate
If the property is rented or being sold, check applicable written instructions with the landlord, agent or conveyancing contact. A clean does not guarantee a bond decision, sale price, buyer response or repair discovery. Use the relevant property process for those questions.
