Ask the provider about each item
Describe the items and materials rather than asking only whether a provider takes general household rubbish. Confirm accepted and excluded items, collection location, access, lifting arrangements, timing and the written terms. Do not assume a provider accepts appliances, renovation waste, garden material or bulky items.

Get specific direction for restricted or unusual materials
For chemicals, batteries, gas cylinders, medical or building materials, and other items with special handling needs, check current council or facility guidance and ask the relevant provider directly. Do not put an uncertain item out for collection or transport it based on a generic online list.
Keep removal separate from cleaning
Waste collection, moving belongings and property cleaning are separate tasks unless a specific provider confirms otherwise in writing. If a clean is also required, arrange its scope and access separately after confirming who is responsible for the items remaining at the property.
