Note the property type, rooms, condition, access and intended handover date. Make a room-by-room task list and identify carpets, appliances, windows or furnished items separately. Ask the provider to confirm what is included, optional or outside the quoted scope.

Keep cleaning, damage and maintenance distinct
A cleaning quote covers only agreed cleaning work. Repairs, damage assessment, pest treatment, mould remediation and rubbish removal may require separate arrangements. Use your agreement, condition records and relevant official guidance for tenancy questions.
Compare written quotes and keep records
Give each provider the same address, task list and access information. Compare inclusions, exclusions, price basis, appointment timing and change terms. Keep the written booking confirmation and records of the work; a cleaner cannot guarantee a bond refund.
