Confirm access and property readiness
Agree on keys, parking, water, power and timing. Remove belongings and loose rubbish before the clean where practical, and wait for repairs or trade work to be completed before cleaning finished surfaces.
List rooms and optional tasks
Confirm accessible rooms and surfaces, and specify appliance interiors, carpet, windows, cupboards or other extras in writing. Check whether any task requires a separate provider or product.
Flag materials and condition
Identify delicate surfaces, existing stains, damage, mould-like growth, pests or water issues before work begins. Cleaning is not repair, pest treatment or mould remediation; report defects to the responsible person.
Keep handover expectations separate
Follow the lease, condition records and written instructions for the property. Photograph condition separately from cleaning completion and seek tenancy advice where legal duties or proposed deductions are disputed.
