Plan Cleaning Around Your Relocation

Moving and cleaning are easier to coordinate when each task has a time, owner and access plan. Treat cleaning, packing, transport, repairs and tenancy handover as separate parts of the move rather than assuming a cleaner covers them all.

Set the cleaning date against access

Confirm when furniture and belongings will be removed, when the cleaner can enter and when keys must be returned. If movers will still be using the property after cleaning, allow time to review whether a touch-up is needed.

Choose the rooms and tasks that matter

List rooms, bathrooms, floors, appliances, cupboards, windows and any optional carpet or upholstery work. Describe existing stains, furniture, delicate finishes and the condition of the property before requesting a quote.

Keep moving and specialist jobs separate

Removalists, rubbish collection, gardening, pest treatment, repairs and restoration may require other providers. Confirm who handles each one and do not assume a cleaning appointment includes heavy lifting or property repairs.

Keep a handover record

Retain the booked scope, access arrangements, receipt and dated condition photos. A clean can address agreed, accessible surfaces but cannot guarantee a bond refund, inspection decision, reference or new-home readiness.
