Set the order around access
Confirm when belongings will be removed, when cleaners can enter and when the property must be handed back. If rooms are cleaned before movers finish, plan for possible re-soiling and ask whether a return visit is available.
Separate cleaning from moving and repairs
Packing, furniture transport, rubbish removal, pest treatment and repairs may be separate services. Confirm which provider handles each task and avoid assuming an end-of-lease clean includes packing or maintenance.
Prepare a written room-by-room scope
List the property type, rooms, surfaces, appliances, carpet, access and any optional tasks. Confirm inclusions, exclusions and additional charges with the provider before booking.
Keep handover records
Check the lease and property-specific instructions, and retain relevant condition records. Cleaning is separate from damage assessment and cannot guarantee a bond refund; seek tenancy advice if responsibilities are disputed.
