Check the manual and cool the oven
Switch off the appliance, let it cool fully and check whether the manual permits cleaning the inner or outer glass in place. Do not remove the door or separate glass panels unless the manufacturer provides instructions and you can follow them safely; oven doors and panes can be heavy or fragile.
Use a compatible, non-abrasive method
If permitted by the manual, use a soft cloth and a cleaner labelled as suitable for that glass. Avoid metal scrapers, abrasive pads, concentrated alkali, unapproved dishwasher tablets and products that can enter vents, seals or electrical areas. Do not mix vinegar, bleach or other cleaners.
Between-pane marks and persistent residue
Marks between glass panels may require manufacturer-directed door removal or service. Do not force tools into vents or seals, and do not dismantle the door based on a generic online method. If grease or residue remains, check the manual or ask an appliance technician or suitable cleaner to assess it.
Prevent future buildup safely
Wipe spills only when the appliance is cool and the manual allows it. Avoid coating door glass or seals with products not designed for the appliance. For professional oven cleaning, list door glass separately and confirm the method and included components.
