Holiday Cleaning Checklist | Rooms, Kitchen and Guest Areas

Clear entry paths and common areas, remove ordinary rubbish and make space for bags and coats. Freshen guest bedding according to fabric labels and ensure paths, stairs and exits remain clear.

Clear old food, wipe compatible counters and sinks, clean appliance exteriors and remove crumbs from reachable areas. Use oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher methods only as their manuals permit. Keep food and utensils away from cleaning chemicals.

Clean basin, toilet, shower, mirrors and taps with products suitable for each surface. Replace towels, empty bins and allow wet floors to dry before use. Avoid mixing chemicals and do not mask persistent damp or chemical odours with fragrance.

Dust reachable surfaces, vacuum suitable floors and check furniture, windows and outdoor seating as needed. Confirm whether oven, carpets, upholstery, BBQ or external windows require specialist work and allow time for drying.
