Describe the workplace
Share the location, floor area, room count, washrooms, kitchen areas, floor types, occupancy, operating hours and current condition. Note access, keys, alarms, parking, restricted spaces and any building requirements.
Define tasks and frequency
List vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washrooms, kitchen surfaces, waste, glass and consumable restocking, with the required schedule. Deep carpet cleaning, high windows, floor restoration, pest work and post-construction cleaning are separate unless specified.
Understand the quote basis
Ask whether pricing is per visit, hourly, area-based or fixed for a defined scope. Clarify labour, products, equipment, consumables, travel, minimum charges, after-hours work, exclusions and variation terms.
Compare providers fairly
Give each provider the same site details and task list, then compare written inclusions, schedule, access and complaint arrangements along with price. Do not rely on unsupported 2025 rates, cleaner-to-area formulas or performance claims.
