Request current itemised quotes for cabinets, worktops, delivery, assembly, removal, installation, plumbing, electrical work, flooring and any needed repair. Include time, tools, waste handling and contingency assumptions. Do not compare a cabinet-only shelf price with a turnkey installation quote.
Verify trades and approvals
Ask who will perform assembly, fixings, plumbing, electrical and structural work, and verify required qualifications or approvals with the relevant local authority. Check apartment/strata permissions before altering shared services or common property. Do not attempt work outside your competence.
Review the decision after inspecting samples
