Clean visible soil first
Remove rubbish and loose debris, then wash or wipe the surface with a compatible product. Food residue, grease and dust can interfere with a later sanitising step. Use separate clean cloths for bathrooms, kitchens and general areas, and keep products away from food, children and pets during use.
Select a labelled sanitising product
Check that the product is intended for the surface and the purpose required, then follow its dilution, application, contact-time and rinsing instructions. Do not assume bleach, vinegar, alcohol or a fragranced product is suitable for every finish. Never mix sanitiser with another chemical.
Protect people and materials
Ventilate as directed, wear the protective equipment stated on the label and keep liquid away from electronics, sockets, unsealed joinery and sensitive finishes. Test an unfamiliar product in a discreet area. Allow the surface to dry or be rinsed as instructed before normal use.
