Choosing Domestic Cleaning with Product Information

If product impact matters to your household, ask the cleaning provider which products are used and what evidence supports any environmental claim. A brand description alone does not prove a product is non-toxic, harmless or suitable for every surface.

Ask about products and claims

Request product names, labels, safety information and any relevant certification or substantiation. Check the task and surfaces each product is intended for. Follow product directions and disclose allergies, pets, stone, timber or other material restrictions.

Clarify the domestic cleaning scope

List rooms, tasks, condition, access and preferred frequency. Confirm whether the quote covers kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting or other specified work. Ovens, cupboards, windows, carpet extraction, upholstery and high-level tasks are not automatically included.

Separate cleaning from specialist work

Pest control, mould remediation, repairs, hazardous waste, personal care and heavy lifting need separate arrangements. Cleaning does not guarantee health, environmental or inspection outcomes.

Compare current booking terms

Check price basis, supplies, access, timing, cancellation or rescheduling terms and how service concerns are handled. Verify provider-specific insurance, staff screening and product claims rather than relying on outdated promotional statements.
