Protect yourself and the bathroom
Wear suitable gloves, keep children and pets away and ventilate the room where safe. Avoid splashing and wash hands after removing gloves. Do not use the brush to handle sharps, contaminated waste or a blockage that requires a plumber.
Rinse and clean the brush
After use, allow excess water to drain into the toilet, then rinse the brush according to the product and toilet-care instructions. Use one labelled compatible disinfecting or cleaning product only; never mix bleach, acids, ammonia or toilet products. Follow contact time and rinse requirements on the label.
Dry the brush and holder
Let the brush drip and air-dry before returning it to the holder. Empty and clean the holder with a compatible method, then dry it too. A permanently damp holder can develop odour or residue. Replace a cracked, frayed or persistently smelly brush rather than adding stronger chemicals.
Clean surrounding surfaces safely
