Turnover cleaning focuses on the change between stays
A turnover checklist may cover the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, accessible floors, bins and touchpoints after checkout. Hosts should separately specify bed-making, linen changes, laundry, dishes, consumables and visible-issue reporting. Timing, access and the condition left by departing guests affect the work and must be confirmed for the booking.
Housekeeping may mean ongoing property upkeep
Some hosts use housekeeping to describe scheduled light cleaning during a longer stay; others include linen or presentation tasks. It does not automatically include guest communication, shopping, maintenance, key handling or property management. Agree the visit schedule, occupied rooms, privacy boundaries and tasks in writing before service begins.

Choose the service from the guest schedule
For a vacant property between reservations, request a turnover clean with checkout and next-arrival details. For an occupied stay, ask whether a separate upkeep visit is available and define the rooms, access consent and tasks. Laundry and linen handling require specific instructions, supplies and adequate time.
Prepare a host checklist and quote request
Provide property size, suburb, occupancy, rooms, condition, preferred frequency, access method and the list of requested tasks. Identify any delicate finishes, host-supplied supplies and rooms that are private or excluded. Confirm scope, availability and price; do not assume every provider offers a combined cleaning and housekeeping package.
